Community Impact LAB grew out of a desire to create opportunities for parents to address inequity and injustice, to pursue new ventures, develop skills, and to build a village of compassionate families. We needed a space where parents and their children felt empowered and effective. And I'm really proud to say that we're doing it!
We're showing how impactful each one of us can be. Through the combined efforts of hundreds of volunteers over $400,000 worth of in-kind donations have been collected, packaged, and distributed to help resettled refugees, teen mothers, homeless women and children, undocumented youth, and other marginalized populations. And we've done it all with our children in tow.
We appreciate the shared commitment that nonprofits and community leaders have in reaching out to populations in need. We have been fortunate enough to reach hundreds of families through our collaborations with the following change-maker organizations:
